Zeennatben
Our beneficiary a woman named Zeennatben Bapal Narasia. At 90 years old, she had faced many challenges in life. It had been 20 years since she had been living alone, ever since her husband passed away two decades ago. Zeenatben had a tiresome routine. Before every meal, she would ask around her neighborhood for food, relying on the kindness of others to fill her plate. However, she found relief after joining plate of joy a project by Laagni foundation that provided her graciously with 2 meals a day at her doorstep which included snacks sweets for festivals, on many occasions she has also been donated cushions and linens too. This service ensured she never went hungry again. Her roof which once was made out of straws is now made out of pvc and steel. Zeennatben had two children, a son, and a daughter. Her son lived in Sardar Nagar with his wife and two children, running a painting business. However, his wife didn't get along with Zeennatben, so she chose to live separately. Life wasn't easy for Zeennatben. She lived without basic comforts like a fan or sanitation facilities. Yet, her spirit remained strong, and she found happiness in aid provided by our foundation and the simple joys of life. Zeennatben's story is a testament to resilience and the power of familial bonds, proving that even in the face of adversity, love and perseverance can light up the darkest of days.
